Installing outside the Play Store means Android will ask permission to install from this source the first time. That's expected, see the steps below.

Installing a direct download

Three steps, once per device.

  1. Allow installs from this source

    Android blocks installs from outside the Play Store by default. Opening the downloaded file prompts you to allow it for your browser or file manager, a one-time permission per app.

  2. Open the downloaded file

    Tap the APK from your notification shade or Downloads folder to start the install.

  3. Launch FieldPoint and grant permissions

    On first run, FieldPoint asks for location and photo storage access, both scoped to what field collection actually needs.

A note on availability

Play Store listing: in progress.

FieldPoint isn't on the Play Store yet. This page is the fastest way to get a working build in the meantime, and the version list above updates on its own as new builds are published, nothing to redeploy by hand.

An iOS build isn't available yet. Android comes first.
